Eröffnung des Ateliers in Berlin und 1998 in Potsdam-Babelsberg.

In ihren Büchern und Fotodokumentationen betreibt Rodewill historische Spurensuche und biografische Verarbeitung – mit Schwerpunkten auf deutscher Zeitgeschichte (Nationalsozialismus, deutsch-jüdische Geschichte, DDR-Repression), auf Frauen als Akteurinnen und Zeuginnen von Geschichte sowie auf Berlin als wiederkehrendem Schauplatz. Charakteristisch ist die Verbindung von Fotografie, Literatur und historischem Dokument zu einer eigenen erzählerischen Form.

Rengha Rodewill
Author, photographer, publicist, painter, object artist, graphic artist, and dancer.
Born in Hagen, Westphalia.
Trained in stage dance in Hagen under Ingeburg Schubert Neumann.
Studied painting under the German-American Prof. Will D. Nagel.
Study stays in Italy and Spain. Moved to Berlin in 1978.
Opened a studio in Berlin, and in Potsdam-Babelsberg in 1998.
Exchange with the Hagen-based painter Prof. Emil Schumacher.
Artistic presentations in Germany and abroad.
Rodewill's works are held in private collections and public holdings.
2000 to 2011: artistic exchange with the German poet Eva Strittmatter.
Since 2010, Rodewill has worked as a photographer, author, and publicist of scholarly nonfiction books.
In her books and photo-documentaries, Rodewill pursues historical inquiry and biographical excavation, with a focus on twentieth-century German history (National Socialism, German-Jewish history, East German/Stasi-era repression), on women as historical actors and witnesses, and on Berlin as a recurring setting. A hallmark of her work is the combination of photography, literature, and historical documentation into a distinctive narrative form.
